Mr McNally

We need to inform you that, after discussions with the Trust and others, Mr McNally has decided to leave the school to pursue a new challenge away from All Saints'.

Mr McNally has led the school through its most successful period, with its first ever judgement of good by OFSTED in 2016. He has also led the school in the most challenging circumstances of the pandemic, as well as dealing with the recent bereavements his family have suffered. He also believes, that having successfully led the school, with the support of Mr Bowers, through OFSTED last term, that now is the right time to bring his time at All Saints' to a close and to take up his new challenge.

Following our discussions, we have agreed that Mr McNally will leave the school with immediate effect and will therefore not be returning to school, which is his preference.

I know you will join me in sincerely thanking Mr McNally for his time at All Saints' and wish him every best wish and success in the future.

We also need to inform you that Mr Bowers will continue in his role as Executive Headteacher for the spring and summer terms for 3 days per week, (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Mr Wilson (Retired Headteacher of Pendle Vale College, Nelson for 15 years) will take on the role as Head of School two days per week (Monday and Tuesday).

We are both really looking forward to working with governors, staff, pupils and parents to continue the good work of the autumn term and build on the recent successful Ofsted inspection.

The Romero Academy Trust CEO and board will be immediately consulting with school governors to advertise and appoint a new Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to start in September 2023.

Mr X. Bowers,

All Saints' RC High School, a Voluntary Academy, part of the Romero Catholic Academy Trust
