Top 5% Pol-Ed School

All Saints' Recognised as a Top 5% Pol-Ed School Across Lancashire

We are delighted to announce that All Saints' Catholic High School has been recognised as being within the Top 5% of Pol-Ed schools across Lancashire for engagement during the 2025–26 academic year.

This recognition celebrates the commitment of our staff to delivering high-quality Personal Development and safeguarding education, ensuring our students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to make safe, informed and responsible choices both in school and beyond.

Pol-Ed is an educational programme developed in partnership with police forces, education professionals and safeguarding experts. It provides schools with high-quality, up-to-date resources that support the teaching of safeguarding, personal development and crime prevention. The programme helps schools educate young people about a wide range of important issues, including online safety, Child Criminal Exploitation, County Lines, healthy relationships, knife crime, radicalisation, substance misuse and personal safety.

Throughout the year, Pol-Ed resources have been embedded across our PSHE curriculum, assemblies and wider safeguarding programme, ensuring that learning is current, relevant and responsive to the challenges faced by young people today.

Receiving this recognition places All Saints' amongst the highest-engaging schools across Lancashire and celebrates the dedication of our staff in promoting the safety, wellbeing and personal development of every student.

Looking ahead to September, we are excited to launch our newly developed PSHE curriculum, which has been carefully redesigned in preparation for the introduction of the new statutory PSHE framework. Significant work has taken place over the past year to review and strengthen our curriculum, ensuring it reflects the latest national guidance and addresses the evolving needs of young people.

As part of this work, Pol-Ed has been fully embedded within our curriculum, providing students with high-quality, evidence-informed learning on emerging safeguarding issues and helping ensure that our Personal Development programme remains relevant, engaging and responsive to the challenges facing young people today.

As a Catholic school, we are committed to nurturing the whole person, enabling each young person to flourish academically, spiritually and personally. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing an outstanding Personal Development programme that prepares students not only for success in school, but for life beyond the classroom.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank all of our staff, students and external partners for their continued support. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Pol-Ed as we further strengthen our safeguarding and Personal Development curriculum in the years ahead.
