About Us

Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to the family of All Saints’

It is both a privilege and a blessing to serve as Headteacher of All Saints’ Roman Catholic High School. Our mission is clear and deeply rooted in faith — to deliver a world-class Catholic education for all and to be the beating heart of the Catholic community in the Rossendale Valley.

At All Saints’, we believe that every child is made in the image of God and possesses unique, God-given gifts and talents. Our role is to nurture those gifts — spiritually, morally, and intellectually — so that every student can “let their light shine” and become the next generation of stewards of God’s creation.

We are immensely proud that our recent Catholic Schools Inspection recognised All Saints’ as a Good Catholic school, praising “the exemplary leadership of the headteacher and deputy headteacher” and noting that “the school’s distinctive Catholic mission has created a strong sense of community and inclusive welcome.” Inspectors commended our “outstanding pastoral care” and the fact that “students are known and loved.” As one student so beautifully said, “Teachers believe in us and won’t let us fail.” This belief lies at the heart of everything we do.

Our community is built on the Gospel values of love, truth, justice and peace. These values underpin our daily lives, our relationships, and our expectations. We are a family — one that celebrates achievement, encourages service to others, and strives for excellence in all things.

High Standards, High Expectations

We expect every student to take pride in being a member of our school. Uniform, attendance and punctuality are vital expressions of the respect and responsibility we teach. How a student presents themselves — in attitude, appearance and effort — reflects their readiness to learn and succeed. Students must be on site by 8.20am, fully equipped and prepared to learn, as we begin each day in form for morning prayer at 8.30am.

Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential to making the most of every opportunity. Missing school means missing learning, and we are unwavering in our expectation that students attend every day, on time, and ready to give their best.

A Partnership Rooted in Faith

Education at All Saints’ is a partnership between home, school, and parish. As parents, you are your child’s first educators, and together we share the mission of forming young people who will make a positive difference in the world. By working together — reinforcing our shared values and expectations — we can ensure that each student grows in wisdom, faith, and service.

Our Shared Mission

Our mission statement declares:

“All Saints’ is a school where the Catholic faith is taught, lived and celebrated. We will educate the whole person spiritually, morally and intellectually.”

This mission is not just words — it is, as our inspectors affirmed, “a lived reality.” The motto Luceat Lux Vestra – Let Your Light Shine permeates our community. It inspires our students to be courageous, compassionate, and ambitious — to go out into the world as leaders of positive change.

Thank you for choosing to join our family and for entrusting us with your child’s education. Together, we will continue to build a school where every young person shines brightly — in their faith, their learning, and their life beyond All Saints’.
