Cyber Technology Day
On Friday, 30 of our Year 7 students attended a Cyber Technology Day hosted by Accrington and Rossendale College. The event introduced pupils to a variety of digital and STEM-focused activities, including game creation using Micro:bits and programming Sphero robots to navigate complex mazes.
During the afternoon, students worked in teams to tackle a series of challenges such as cipher cracking, problem-solving tasks and coding rounds. They competed against teams from local secondary schools including The Valley Leadership Academy, Haslingden High School, BRGS and Alder Grange.
We are extremely proud to share that All Saints’ students secured the top three positions overall, with two all-girl teams placing in the top three and the boys’ team taking first place. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to their teamwork, creativity and determination.
All students represented the school exceptionally well and gained valuable skills linked to future careers in technology, cybersecurity and digital industries.
Thanks
