Being fully equipped helps lessons start calmly and allows pupils to focus on learning straight away.
What if my child forgets something?
Pupils can buy equipment in school before lessons or during form time. Staff will support pupils to be ready to learn.
How often are checks carried out?
Equipment is checked daily during form time.
When will parents be contacted?
If a pupil does not have the correct equipment on three days in one week, a pastoral leader will contact home to offer support.
Are detentions used straight away?
No. Support and reminders come first. Detentions are part of a graduated response if the pattern continues.
What is the aim of this approach?
To support responsibility, protect learning time, and help every pupil succeed.
