Justice Day
Pupils recently enjoyed an engaging and educational “Justice Day” at Burnley Football Club, where learning extended far beyond the classroom. The visit provided a unique opportunity for students to explore the world of law in an exciting, real-life setting.
Throughout the day, pupils had the chance to speak directly with judges from a variety of courts, gaining valuable insight into different legal roles and the justice system as a whole. They asked thoughtful questions and developed a deeper understanding of how courts operate and how decisions are made.
The experience was made even more memorable with a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, allowing students to explore areas of the ground they wouldn’t usually see. This added an extra layer of excitement to an already inspiring day.
A highlight for many was taking part in their own mock trial. Pupils stepped into the roles of lawyers, witnesses, and jurors, working together to present and examine a case. This hands-on activity helped build confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking skills while bringing the legal process to life.
Overall, the Justice Day was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to connect their learning to the real world, leaving them both inspired and more informed about careers in law and the justice system.
