Year 7 Trip to Chester Zoo
The RE and Geography departments recently took a group of Year 7 students on a highly successful trip to Chester Zoo. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and engaged brilliantly throughout the day. The visit strongly supported the RED Catholic Directory curriculum in RE, giving students the opportunity to reflect on stewardship, care for God’s creation, and our moral responsibility to protect the natural world. Through observing a wide range of animals and conservation projects, students were able to deepen their understanding of human dignity, respect for creation, and the importance of living out Catholic Social Teaching in everyday life. The trip also linked well to the Year 7 Geography curriculum through the study of ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental conservation. All students represented the school exceptionally well and were a credit to both departments throughout the visit.
